Code of Thieves 2020 is a movie that follows a group of hackers who plan to rob a bank using their skills and gadgets. The movie is directed by Brandon Cornett and stars Tory Monay, King Wesley, Will Coleman, and others. The movie was released on May 29, 2020, and has received mixed reviews from critics and audiences.

In this article, we will review the plot, the characters, the action scenes, and the overall quality of the movie. We will also discuss some of the pros and cons of the movie, and whether it is worth watching or not.

The Plot

The movie begins with a flashback of a young hacker named Marcus (King Wesley) who witnesses his father being killed by a corrupt cop. Marcus vows to avenge his father and becomes a skilled hacker who targets banks and corporations. He forms a team with his childhood friends: Ray (Will Coleman), a former soldier; Tasha (Tory Monay), a computer expert; and Rico (Nelson J. Davis), a getaway driver.

The team decides to rob a bank that is owned by the same cop who killed Marcus’ father. They use their hacking skills to bypass the security systems and enter the vault. However, they soon realize that they are not the only ones who are after the money. A rival gang of thieves led by Malik (Nate Jones) has also infiltrated the bank and wants to take the loot. A violent confrontation ensues between the two groups, while the police are closing in on them.

Will Marcus and his team be able to escape with the money and get their revenge? Or will they fall victim to Malik’s ruthless gang or the police’s bullets? You will have to watch the movie to find out.

The Characters

The Plot

The movie features a diverse cast of actors who play their roles with varying degrees of success. The main protagonist, Marcus, is portrayed by King Wesley, who delivers a decent performance as the leader of the hackers. He shows some charisma and emotion in his scenes, but he also lacks some depth and originality in his character. He is essentially a typical anti-hero who wants to get justice for his father’s death.

The other members of Marcus’ team are played by Tory Monay, Will Coleman, and Nelson J. Davis. They have some chemistry and humor in their interactions, but they also suffer from underdevelopment and clichés. Tasha is the smart and sassy female hacker who has a crush on Marcus; Ray is the tough and loyal soldier who provides the muscle; and Rico is the funny and reckless driver who provides the comic relief. They are not very memorable or distinctive as characters.

The main antagonist, Malik, is played by Nate Jones, who gives a menacing and intimidating performance as the leader of the rival gang. He is ruthless, violent, and greedy, and he will stop at nothing to get what he wants. He is a formidable foe for Marcus and his team, but he also lacks some motivation and backstory for his actions.

The other characters in the movie are mostly minor or supporting roles, such as the corrupt cop who killed Marcus’ father, the bank manager who helps Marcus’ team, and the police officers who try to stop them. They do not have much impact or relevance to the story.

The Action Scenes

The Characters

The movie’s main attraction is its action scenes, which are fast-paced, thrilling, and explosive. The movie features several shootouts, car chases, explosions, fistfights, and hacking sequences that keep the viewers on the edge of their seats. The movie uses a lot of practical effects and stunts that add realism and excitement to the scenes. The movie also uses some CGI effects that enhance some of the scenes but also look unrealistic at times.

The movie’s action scenes are well-choreographed and edited, but they also suffer from some flaws and inconsistencies. Some of the scenes are too dark or shaky to see clearly what is happening; some of the scenes are too unrealistic or implausible to be believable; and some of the scenes are too repetitive or predictable to be surprising. The movie’s action scenes are entertaining but not very original or innovative.

The Overall Quality
