Gabriel's Inferno: A Passionate Tale of Forbidden Love and Redemption

Gabriel’s Inferno is a romance novel by Sylvain Reynard, a pseudonym of an anonymous Canadian author. The novel tells the story of Gabriel Emerson, a Dante scholar and professor at the University of Toronto, and Julianne Mitchell, a graduate student in his seminar. The two have a shared past that neither of them remembers, but that will change their lives forever.

The novel was first published online as a Twilight fan fiction under the title The University of Edward Masen, but was later revised and published as an original work by Omnific Publishing in 2011. The novel was followed by two sequels, Gabriel’s Rapture and Gabriel’s Redemption, and was adapted into a film series by Passionflix in 2020.

Gabriel’s Inferno is a captivating and erotic exploration of seduction, forbidden love, and redemption. It is a story of one man’s escape from his own personal hell as he tries to earn the impossible: forgiveness and love.

The novel begins with Gabriel and Julia meeting at a lecture on Dante’s Inferno, where Gabriel is the professor and Julia is a student. Gabriel is immediately drawn to Julia, but he does not recognize her as the young woman he met six years ago in an orchard in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania. Julia, however, remembers Gabriel as the kind stranger who comforted her when she was heartbroken and lost. She also remembers that they shared a kiss under an apple tree, but nothing more.

As the semester progresses, Gabriel and Julia develop a tense and complicated relationship. Gabriel is rude and arrogant, but also protective and generous. Julia is shy and innocent, but also curious and brave. They are both attracted to each other, but they also face many obstacles. Gabriel has a dark past that haunts him, involving drug addiction, sexual abuse, and a failed marriage. Julia has low self-esteem and trust issues, stemming from her abusive father and neglectful mother. They also have to deal with the ethical implications of their student-teacher relationship, as well as the jealousy and hostility of other people.

Gabriel and Julia eventually discover the truth about their past connection, and realize that they are soulmates who share a deep bond through their love of Dante and Beatrice. They decide to pursue a secret romance, despite the risks and challenges. They also embark on a journey of healing and forgiveness, as they confront their demons and seek redemption. They learn to overcome their fears and insecurities, and to trust in each other and in God.

The novel reaches its climax when Gabriel and Julia’s relationship is exposed and they face the consequences of their actions. Gabriel is accused of sexual harassment and misconduct by the university, and risks losing his job and reputation. Julia is also threatened by Christa Peterson, a jealous and vindictive student who claims to have had an affair with Gabriel. Christa tries to blackmail and humiliate Julia, but Gabriel intervenes and defends her.

Gabriel and Julia decide to fight for their love and prove their innocence. They enlist the help of their friends and family, who support them and testify on their behalf. They also find evidence that Christa lied about her relationship with Gabriel, and that she was behind a series of attacks on Julia. They manage to clear their names and expose Christa’s schemes.

Gabriel and Julia are finally free to be together, without fear or guilt. They celebrate their victory and their love by traveling to Italy, where they visit Florence and the places that inspired Dante and Beatrice. They also get engaged and plan their future together.
